A Gift.
Two weeks ago a dear friend arrived with this wonderful oak root in the back of his pickup for me! i was gobsmacked it's lovely!! He works for the forestry and thought i'd find something to do with it, well it now resides in the tree field peeping out and looking Quite splendid........

Hope you don't mind me popping by. I just love your photo's. I'll be planting a tree in memory of my father-in-law this week who passed away yesterday so it was quite ironic that I stumbled across your blog. See you again soon, Crystal.
Good evening Jo, Well, of course, I love it too! You are bringing me such a welcome connection to natural beauty and mystery and power. Thank you. How I do also love the word gobsmacked. I had read it, but over here no one would ever know it or say it. So...what a delight on one visit to London, to be sharing a table in a cafe with some locals, and have the handsome bloke, who'd run away from Yorkshire (with the silver lifesaver-candy-sized-ring in his nose) use the expression over something he had learned from his teacher mom. I can't even remember what gobsmacked him. But I laughed and told him how great it was to find out that it really was a word! Now, I await the next tree spirit .... There is no rush, because spirits do not run on any schedule. They make themselves know when they want to. You are a fine spirit yourself! xo
